Job Purpose: Lead and manage an industry engagement strategy that results in expansion and deepening of unit relationships across target companies and other business sector organizations. Activities promote advancement of the unit corporate engagement program to create a steady state of business sector partners that benefit faculty research and teaching while also enhancing academic impact within the unit's business network. This role will have corporate involvement in, and support for, a regional network of businesses engaged with the unit on priority topics and initiatives. The business sector interactions will support achievement of unit academic goals including research, education, external visibility and impact.

Major Responsibilities:

-Develop, implement, and manage a business partnership strategy with support from unit leadership and building on existing foundation.
-Achieve long-term corporate affiliation and partnership objectives including, but not limited to, Advisory Boards, research funding opportunities, unit networking/engagement priorities and faculty-industry engagement.
-Represent the unit at business events and articulate value proposition to industry targets.
-Navigate administrative requirements and develop supporting outreach and communication materials.
-Liaise with career services to provide information about relevant company-sponsored internships, coops, and job opportunities.
-Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

-Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
-Work Experience: Five to seven years job related experience
-Certifications: N/A
-Skills: This job requires strong communication and project management skills, as well as an ability to navigate large, complex organizations in pursuit of unit goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Preferred Education: Master's degree
-Preferred Work Experience: Working within corporate sustainability at a higher education or private sector organization.
-Preferred Certifications: N/A
-Preferred Skills: Preferred skills include excellent interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to engage with a broad range of business and other academic disciplines in the sustainability context; ability to organize and set priorities; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; ability to serve as a facilitator; skills in strategic thinking; and knowledge of, and relationships with, business contacts in local regional networks.

The Center for Serve-Learn-Sustain (CSLS) is a unit in the Office of Undergraduate Education. The Center is leading the implementation of the 10 –year Serve-Learn-Sustain Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) across the Georgia Tech campus. The Center works collaboratively with faculty, student, staff, community and industry partners to integrate sustainable communities’ programs, curriculum, and learning experiences into undergraduate education and campus culture across all six Colleges.
